The advantages of 1-to-1 online tutoring
1-to-1 Online tuition offers some unique advantages over traditional face-to-face tuition or classroom lessons
-
Learn comfortably at home: Being in a familiar environment can help reduce anxiety and improve focus, making learning more effective
-
No geographical barriers: You can choose the best Maths tutor for your needs, not just the one closest to you
-
100% focus on you: We can get through so much Maths work – on exactly the topics & techniques you need to improve – in one 1-to-1 hour
-
Highly interactive sessions: Thanks to online whiteboards, you and I can write, draw, and collaborate in real-time, just as if we were sitting next to each other. This allows for clear demonstrations, immediate feedback, and fully interactive problem-solving.
What equipment will I need?
In order for online tuition to be effective, it needs to be truly interactive.
The basic equipment needed to ensure that you get the most out of online tuition is:
1. A quick and reliable internet connection
2. A tablet/laptop with a touchscreen and an online pen (e.g. iPad with Apple Pencil or touchscreen PC with a stylus)

How many lessons will I need?
That depends completely on you and what your requirements are.
Lots of students like to schedule one lesson a week. This can be used to give extra focus on one particular area (e.g. to go through a new topic before it is taught in class, go through a topic again to gain a better understanding, or to practice exam questions on a particular topic.
Or you can book a more concentrated short-course of lessons with a particular focus. Popular courses include:
1. Statistics A level 'Master classes'
2. GCSE to A level Transition
3. Pre Exam 'Crammer' sessions
4. 11+ practice ahead of that important entrance exam
